Patrol Leader Resources

With Honor Comes Responsibility...

Troop 28 selects its scout leaders for six month terms. Supported by our adult leaders, these scouts are responsible for every aspect of the Troop 28 program and activities during their term of office.

Troop 28 scouts elected as leaders are generally among the more experienced of the troop. As a scout led troop, we strive to allow these leaders the opportunity to demonstrate the leadership skills they have acquired since joining the Scouts.

Being on the PLC is an opportunity to put into practice the vision of Scouting; to build leaders capable of making moral decisions.

Being selected is an honor.

Below is an overview of the annual troop planning conference, potential leader meeting plans, and meeting games and activities

Annual Troop Planning Conference

A Failure to Plan is a Plan for Failure (and boring Troop meetings)!

As part of a Patrol Leader's responsibilities, the scout runs the annual program planning process and helps in its communication, execution, and monitoring. This includes reviewing last year's plan, gathering input, establishing objectives, short and long term plans and appointing Positions of Responsibility (and enlisting their assistance).
